Quick Hairstyles For Busy Moms

Moms are always busy and on the go. Whether you are running errand after errand, or running the kids from one place to another, you probably don't have a lot of time to spend doing your hair in the morning (you probably hardly have time to shower in the morning). Just because you're a busy mom doesn't mean you can't look like you've spent a long time on your hair. There are a number of styles you can do that take just a few quick minutes. See below for tips on how to style your hair for even the busiest of moms.

Top Knot

The top knot is a pretty trendy style right now being worn by celebrities everywhere. You can wear the top knot using all of your hair, or only the upper portion of your hair (leaving half down). Grab all of your hair (or the upper portion), pulling all of your hair up onto the top of your head. Put it into a ponytail, securing it, then wrap the hair around the ponytail into a knot. Then secure your hair with bobby pins. Spray your hair to help control fly-aways.

Double-Braid Headband

Take two small sections of your hair on either side of your head near your cheekbones. Braid the small sections on either side securing them with a clear elastic band. Pull one braid up and over the top of your head, securing it with bobby pins, then pull the other braid over the top of your head (with the other braid), securing it on the other side with pins. You should be left with the look of a braided headband.

Side Braid With A Side Bun

Grab a small section of hair beginning at your part. Begin braiding your hair grabbing small sections of your hair as you go down the side of your head, much like a french braid. You can just braid the section if you aren't sure how to french braid. Secure the end of the braid with a clear elastic. Next, take the rest of your hair, pulling it over to the side of your head with the braid. Pull it into a low side pony tail, then twist it into a messy bun. Secure your hair with bobby pins, then spray to keep it together. Pull out some of the braid to loosen it a bit to give it some volume.

Use dry shampoo on days you don't have time to wash your hair, or save time by washing your hair at night rather than in the mornings. Greasier hair is actually easier to style, as it holds much better than clean hair. You can style your hair in the morning before running those errands or before running the kids around to make yourself feel better and to look like you've spent a lot of time on your hair (without actually spending much extra time at all).
