Skin Care Tips For Men

Women aren't the only ones that care about their skin, although most men probably don't spend enough time and energy on their skin as they should. Most men probably use that bar of soap in the shower to wash their face and then call it a day. That isn't nearly enough to take care of your skin. See the tips below to help you take better care of your skin without taking too much time out of your busy day.

Eat The Right Foods

Eating a proper diet will help your skin look and feel better. Eating greasy foods can reflect on your skin resulting in oily skin or even acne. Your diet should include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as healthy oils such as olive and avocado. Be sure to include leafy green vegetables, as well as fish/tuna that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Drinking plenty of water helps keep your organs functioning properly and can also hydrate your skin and cleanse your pores. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day. Mix your water with fresh fruit for a different taste if drinking this much water is too much for you. Swapping out some sugary drinks for water will also help not just your skin, but your waistline as well.

Exercise

Exercising is good for your entire body, including your skin. Sweating can actually clean toxins out your pores and helps to increase blood flow to your skin. Add exercise to your daily routine - you won't regret it. Be sure to wash your face (and body) after exercising to rinse the sweat off of your skin to prevent clogging your pores.

Use A Facial Cleanser

While in the shower, use an actual facial cleanser. Skip using body wash or that bar of soap to wash your face. Look for a cleanser that is hypoallergenic and oil or alcohol-free. A cleanser that has salicylic acid will help clean your skin and zap those pimples and blemishes.

Moisturize

Moisturizing your face will help prevent dry skin, and can actually help you when you shave. Use a moisturizer after you shower daily to hydrate your skin. Look for a moisturizer that isn't too oily or watery.

Use Aftershave

Aftershave should be used after each and every time you shave. This helps cool skin and prevent razor burn and those nasty bumps that can happen after shaving.

Be Gentle

Always be gentle with your skin. Never pop pimples, or scratch away zits. Be gentle when using facial cleansers or moisturizers on your skin so you don't damage your skin or cause scarring.

Skin care is not something that is just for women. Men should take good care of their skin too. Use the tips above to help you improve your skin.
